Extraction
It's the removal of tooth. It can be simple or complicated. Extraction is generally performed under local anaesthesia.
Types of Extraction
Simple: It is uncomplicated removal of tooth under local anaesthesia. Most of the cases are simple extraction.
Complicated: It can be performed under local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia (rarely). Severely fractured teeth or "impacted" tooth removal are under this. It is generally done "surgically" followed by suture placement.
Impacted Tooth: Generally wisdom tooth which is not fully erupted or came out into the mouth. It is performed surgically most of the time.
